Incomplete update with incomplete sentences!

Wow, busy these days. I was a tour nanny this weekend, watching Ronnie's kids while he performed in OKC. Saw my "step" family that I hadn't seen in years.

Celebrated Grandma's 90th in February. I made her an awesome DVD. Party in the USA.

Went to Austin with Sophie and Marlon.

Learned that Marlon is not a direct descendant or even related in any way to William Barrett Travis -- at least not since the 1700's. Did learn though that he is related to the founder of Leasburg Virginia.

Love genealogy! Why?

Rigo is so skinny now.

Life Goes On

I rarely write any more, but life goes on! Life is good!

The trees are absolutely gorgeous outside my window. Couldn't be better!

Haven't been a vegetarian since June when Sophie came home.

Sophie has a boyfriend.

Rigo was in a play last night His line was "green is for go".

There will be some family drama this weekend at the family portrait sitting.

Vegeterian SIn

I've been a vegeterian since November -- or a pescaterian. I don't eat beef, chicken, pork, lamb, bison, etc....I do eat seaf0od.

Anyway, yesterday at Berryhill's, I ordered two spinach tamales, and one bean tamale. They gave me a pork (perhaps chicken) instead. I did not realize this until I bit into it. I just decided to eat the whole thing -- wasn't even any good.

I was really tempted to give in when Rod grilled chicken recently -- really tempted....had already prepared my plate, and Rod told me not to do it. So I didn't. So why did I give in for a lousy tamale?

House painting means house disarray!!! House disarray, house dissarray.

Sophie confessed that she's not doing well at all academically, and will be home next fall.

Rigo's meds and various levels (cholesterol, ammonia) are a mess. Mom had back surgery this week. But why focus on the negative? There is some good in my life. Thank you for that! Just wish life wasn't so hard for my kids.

Wazzup?

The title of this post shows how uncool and behind the times I am.

But, really, what's up? I'm past McDreamy now...I had to put that aside. Too many other problems..issues. Three of one particular kind. Very disappointing. Take a bow, man! Take a bow.

Big party at our house last night...so I'm tired. Came to work early anyway because I had a 9 am appt, but of course, like almost all Sat. appointments, he did not show.

It's been so long, it's hard to know where to jump back in.

Oh, I have some big news! My mom got married. And she took a honeymoon cruise to Puerto Rico. And we surprised her when she got off the ship. And she's also retired. And my brother is staying with us periodically. He has a job here in Houston, and until his home sells, he's staying with us, and seeing his family on the weekends. But his job takes him to San Antonion and Austin so we don't see him that often. Sophie has a lousy semester, gradewise. Hopefully this will be a better semester. She'll have a lot more support with counselors, counselors and counselors. Really tired, and have a headache. I may just have to go home and rest for a while, but I need to do a couple of things first.

Sorry for the boring post. Life is definitely not boring, but when it's been a while, it's hard to know how to jump back in.

Oh, did I mention I've been a vegetarian since November?

How I am coping

My daughter has gone away to college....I miss her...How do I fill that hole in my heart without her?

I am embarrassed to admit this, but I have filled it by watching every episode of Greys Anatomy in the last month. And somewhere along Season 4 or 5, I fell madly in love with McDreamy. I've always heard females talk about him, but I didn't get it...even when I first started watching (a few days before Sophie left, she and I watched portions of Season One together -- her choice not mine), he just seemed like a nice doctor. No big deal. But Sophie mentioned at one point that Dr. Shepherd reminded her of Daddy (Rod). Yes, I could see a mild resemblance. But then I kept watching and watching...It took a while, but eventually around Season Four (maybe even Season Five), I fell in love.

I think I normally have a wall up to prevent me from falling in love with someone other than my husband...I don't allow myself to be attracted to other men. But I let that wall down since McDreamy reminded me of Rod, and then I lost it completely. I am embarrassed and ashamed, but I cannot stop thinking about him. Thank God I have Rod in my life. Thank God!!! I am lucky. He does remind me of McDreamy more than anyone else in the world!
